A Desperate Plea For Help

Dear Friends,

We're in a race against the clock. A dear dear friend of mine has a brain tumor and is scheduled for surgery in two weeks. She is terrified of the doctor in England that is scheduled to do the surgery, and desperately wants Dr. Keith Black from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to do the surgery. However, she is a single mother of two girls and primary care giver to her grandchild, and she cannot afford much. If anyone know of any way that she can get a consultation with Dr. Black, it very well could save her life. Please, please, please help, if you can. If you know anyone to contact, please help. Time is running out. Below is her email.

I am writing in hope that you might be able to assist me with something. I told you a while ago that i was diagnosed with a low grade brain tumour in 2006. I was told by Specialists that is hadn't grown or changed over three years. Then my Specialist left and a new one took over. I received a call from him to get to the hospital where they told me that they needed to operate fast because it has grown. They had informed me all that time things hadn't changed when they had.

I have little trust in them now. When the Specialist called me in he said he wasn't going to use a scan to find active parts of my brain so that he could map them and go around them and he said there was a good possibility of serious disability or death. He said he might cut through the wrong part but would put a stitch in it. I can't have the operation there. I just don't feel safe.

I have heard a lot about a Doctor Keith Black at Cedar Sinai. His patients often are well enough to go home after a couple of days. He also is said to be the best in the world at getting rid of tumours without causing harm even in the wost of situations.

Are you familiar with this Doctor or hospital?. I think it is in LA. I know it is asking a lot bout would you be able to contact the hospital and ask them if they are willing to take patients from the UK and if i would have to pay for the treatment? And if so how much is it?

I am due surgery in two weeks so i need to get in touch with this place fast and no one has answered my letters to the hospital as yet and i am getting worried. I would really like to be seen by this doctor if possible.

Please do what you can, i know you will. Thank you. Sorry if this email is a little lacking in the presentation dept. i am writing fast because i have little time.
