Accident Claims Life of SnowboarderKwang Kim from Los Angeles Succumbs to Injuries By Michael P. Neufeld Big Bear Lake, CA - A 23-year-old Los Angeles snowboarder succumbed to injuries sustained while executing a jump at Snow Summit Ski Resort.
The San Bernardino County Coroner reports Kwang Kim died several hours after the 12:40 p.m. accident in an approved jumping area at the ski resort. ![]() San Bernardino County Coroner (Photo by Michael P. Neufeld.)
The Coroner's office indicates Kim was air-lifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton where he passed away at 2:30 p.m. yesterday, December 23.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of Kim's death. The preliminary report showed Kim suffered head injuries during the accident.
