Crestline, CA – A Crestline man was incarcerated at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino after being charged with false imprisonment of his unidentified 22-year-old girlfriend.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies arrested Andrew Scott Elder, 24, in the 7500 block of Reche Canyon Road in Colton at 7 p.m. Monday and charged him with false improsonment and for making terrorist threats. Bail was set at $25,000 during Wednesday's arraignment.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Twin Peaks Sheriff's station issued the following account of the Sunday (August 3) incident:
"On Sunday, August 3, at approximately 2 a.m., the victim stated she drove to Crestline to pick up her boyfriend, Andrew Scott Elder. After picking up Elder, the victim said she became involved in a verbal argument with him. She stopped the car to talk with Elder and after doing so, Elder grabbed the keys out of the ignition and exited the vehicle.
"Elder then opened the victim's door and forced her into the back seat," according to the media advisory. "Elder stopped the victim's several attempts to escape by physically restraining her and started to drive towards a cliff. Elder told the victim he would drive them both off the cliff is she did not tell him she loved him.
"The victim said she told Elder everything he wanted to hear in order to calm him down," the news release read. "She stated Elder finally calmed down and let her out of the car, but told her if she went to the police, he would kill her."
Elder, who turned 24 last month, is on probation after being found guilty of the September 2004 burglary of the Sports Shop at Snow Valley Ski Resort in Running Springs.
During the investigation of that incident, Elder was located sleeping in a 1998 4-door gold Saturn in the upper parking area of the Children's Forest. He was arrested along with a San Bernardino man after officers found two large duffel bags inside the vehicle stuffed with merchandise from the Sports Shop.
Elder's first court appearance on the false imprisonment charge was yesterday. His next appearance will be a pre-trial hearing on August 13. He was released on bail late Wednesday evening.
