Deputy Tracy Klinkhart issued a media advisory about the incident that occurred at about 7:15 a.m. Saturday at the Valero station on Highway 18.

The deputy reported the two victims were assaulted after an argument broke out with the seven unidentified males. One subject was hit on the head with a beer bottle and the other struck across the back with a shovel. The subject who was hit with the shovel was later transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
