Blue Series Fires in Cajon Pass Area (Update)By Michael P. Neufeld Update - Monday 2:49 p.m. Cajon Pass - All fixed wing aircraft and tankers assigned to the "Blue Series Fires" have been released by the incident commander. One helicopter remains assigned to assist firefighters with containment efforts.
Officials have also cancelled strike teams and hand crews not already on scene.
The #4 northbound lane of Interstate 15 are closed from just north of Blue Cut to just before Cleghorn at mile marker 18.
Original Story - 2:10 p.m. Cajon Pass, CA - Two fires — dubbed the "Blue Series" with divisions named "Alpha" and "Zulu" — are burning in the Cosy Dell area of the Cajon Pass near northbound Interstate 15. The incident commander of the so-called Blue Fires requested additional air resources.
Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol have closed the #3 and #4 northbound lanes in the Cajon Pass area due to the two fires that are located about a quarter-mile apart. The closure is between Blue Cut and Cleghorn Fire Road.

No immediate structure threats are reported and scanner reports indicate progress is being made on the two blazes that have consumed about 15-20 acres total.
