Board of Supervisors Chairman Paul Biane released a statement after learning of the medical leave: "I just learned of the Assessor's announcement late today. Obviously we wish him a speedy return to full health. I am pleased to see that Harlow Cameron will be running the Assessor's office. He is a well respected veteran county employee who received high marks in the Grand Jury's recent review of the Assessor's office."
Postmus also issued a brief statement late Wednesday: "Harlow Cameron is an invaluable and longtime member of this department. Under Harlow Cameron's stewardship, I know the office will be in outstanding hands while I am away from the office."
