Some Filing Deadlines Extended

Update - Saturday 5:20 a.m.
San Bernardino, CA - Candidates for local offices had to return their paperwork by 5 p.m. Friday (August 8). However, if an incumbent failed to file, the deadline for that office has been extended to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13 for everyone except the incumbent.

As of 6:26 p.m. Friday, the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters listed the following candidates qualified for local races.
Big Bear Airport District (3) Ken Dally, Bill Douglas, Gloria Ann Greene, Chuck Knight, Julie Smith, Edward Stanik, Gary Steube (incumbent), Jack Williams and Lynn Wilson. Incumbents George Berge and Russ Lowery were not among those filing for three seats.
Big Bear City Community Services District (2) Barbara Beck, Daniel Joseph Brown, Robert Colven (incumbent), Lance George Fowler, Rick Nelson, Rick Ollilia (incumbent), John Russo and James Donald Smith are on the ballot competing for two seats.
Big Bear Lake City Council (2) Liz Harris (incumbent), Bill Jahn (incumbent), Bill LoPriesti and Barbara Willey have made the ballot for November.
Big Bear Municipal Water District (2) Incumbents John Eminger (Division 4) and Vince Smith (Division 5) are unopposed.
Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (3) Dennis Carden, Chris Fagan, MD (incumbent), Michael Hartstein, MD, Ed Kibby, Carol Mulvihill (incumbent), Ronald Peavy (incumbent), Brad Summers and Randy Vanos have filed for three seats.
Bear Valley Unified School District (3) Sharon Congdon; David Foltz, Beverly Grabe, Cathy Herrick, Jim "Mac" McGowan, Randall Putz, Richard Weathersbee and Paul Zamoyta have already tossed their hats into the ring for three seats. Incumbents Phil Hamilton, Dr. Larry Poland and Julann Warren had not filed early today.
Crestline Sanitation District Advisory Board Candidates for this new advisory board include Connie Bracher, Sherry Fairbanks, David Hardin, Mike Pate, Matthew Philippe, Penny Shubnell, Kenneth Stone, and Rosemarie Wiegand.
Mountains Community Hospital District (2) Alice Waits (incumbent) and Stephen Watt have filed to run for the two seats. Incumbent Chuck Peters did not file for re-election.
Rim of the World Unified School District - TA 1 (1) Incumbent Sharon Merrill will most likely be opposed by Leslie Bramson and Mike Reynolds.
Rim of the World Unified School District - TA 1 (2) Incumbent Bob Gladwell was so far unopposed.
Rim of the World Unified School District - TA 3 (1) No filings had been received and incumbent Sandy Caprine-Esquer had not submitted paperwork for another term.
San Bernardino Community College District (4) Charles Beeman (incumbent), Eufracia Boyle, Richard Boyle, John Futch, Allen Gresham (incumbent), Carleton Lockwood, Jr. (incumbent), John Longville and Jess Vizcaino have already qualified for four seats on the board. Appointed incumbent Marie Alonzo did not file by Friday's deadline.
San Bernardino County Board of Education - Area E (1) Randall Ceniceros, Amos Isaac and Alfred Waner (incumbent) are the candidates seeking one seat.
