Fawnskin, CA – Habitat for Humanity's "Stud Finders" are among the entries expected for the 10 a.m. Doo Dah Parade July 26. Other participants expected to compete for trophies include the Friends of Fawnskin, Big Bear Renaissance Faire and the Bear Valley "Dandies."
The Doo Dah Parade, one of the shortest parades in the world at only three blocks, will run on North Shore Road from Cherokee Street to Navajo Street.
Fawnskin Chamber of Commerce representatives report that immediately after the Doo Dah Parade the Moose Lodge Fawnskin Festival will begin complete with a horseshoe contest, apple pie eating contest, precious pet contest and a host of races and games designed for youngsters.
Officials have planned a two-day celebration including music, food, games and plenty of family fun. Saturday's hours at Don Conroy Memorial Park are noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
