By Michael P. Neufeld
Wednesday, August 6, 2008
Crestline, CA - The unidentified driver of a jeep crashed through the front porch of a Crestline residence causing a minor natural gas leak. The vehicle came to a halt between two pine trees in the 23000 block of Knapps Cutoff.
The driver was extracted from the vehicle by Crest Forest Fire personnel and taken to the ball field at Lake Gregory where Mercy Air transported him to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

The residents of the home damaged in the accident had gone out to dinner at a local restaurant after deciding against having a front yard barbecue. The barbecue grill sat just a few feet from where the jeep crashed through the front porch.
