Twin Peaks, CA - Two tree limbs fell into Southern California Edison power lines Monday evening causing an outage to 2,500 customers.
Edison crews worked well into the night to make emergency repairs. Some power was restored about 9:35 p.m. according to RIMOFTHEWORLD.net readers.
Update – Monday 9:42 p.m.
Twin Peaks, CA – Southern California Edison crews are working to restore power to 2,500 customers after two tree limbs feel into the utility's power lines in the 26700 Block of Highway 189 in Twin Peaks.
Edison spokesperson Jeremy Rawitch told RIMOFTHEWORLD.net crews would be working around the clock until all power was restored to customers in Twin Peaks and Rimforest and sections of Lake Arrowhead, Crestline and Blue Jay.
The outage occurred at 7:19 p.m. when two limbs from an oak tree crashed into power lines and damaged the stairs and deck of a home on Highway 189 near Five Points.
Highway 189 was closed for a time to allow Caltrans crews to clear the downed limbs from the roadway.

Twin Peaks, CA — Two large limbs from an oak tree fell into power lines on Highway 189 near Five Points Monday causing a power outage impacting hundreds of Southern California Edison customers.

Crest Forest Fire and US Forest Service personnel blocked off Highway 189 near Five Points Shell until Edison crews arrived to begin repairs.

The incident is on Highway 189 near the intersection of Sierra Vista Avenue and the downed tree limbs also damaged the deck and stairs of a residence.
Caltrans was notified branches of the tree were into traffic lanes. Firefighters eventually allowed one lane of traffic to proceed through the area.
