Green Team Arrowhead (GTA) is a group of citizens concerned about the problems that face our world, our country, our state, and our community.
GTA seeks green solutions that will have impact upon the environmental problems caused by reliance on fossil fuels. GTA seeks unique approaches aimed at developing and using alternative forms of energy, which will be sustainable into the future.
Earth Day 2009 is on April 22, but—like many organizations—the mountain will celebrate it on Sat. April 18th. It will be the 39th annual celebration of the "nationwide grassroots demonstration on behalf of the environment." It is the only event celebrated simultaneously around the globe; by people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities. More than a billion people participate in Earth Day each year, attending individual events toward common goals.
Green Team Arrowhead's ultimate goal is to transform our mountain community into a sustainable environment. GTA will accomplish this through education, consultation, and efforts to bring environmental organizations together to reach a common goal. Volunteers welcome!
