Being a fan of vinyl, I actually have their original album and 45 in storage - lol.
I LOVE old vinyl records. I know digital is cleaner, but I like the 'real' sound from the old records.

My youngest son is 18 now but when he was 13 he asked for a turn table for Christmas and started collecting old records. He went to thrift stores and there was this place down the hill that sold antiques and collectables and he would go there every once in a while to see if he could find records that he wanted.

I mis-spent a lot of my youth at Aarons records in Hollyweird (now gone). He had tons of albums, starting at a nickel. A lot came from the radio staion DJ's.
As a result, I have a lot of promo and radio play albums that were never released.
The one buy that stands out was a 9 record set of the Beethoven symphonies by the Boston City orchestra. It cost me twenty five cents!

Tower Records, Licorice Pizza, and my favorite, Music Plus. All good places to browse the records as there was no internet then.

Thank you Oldguy, That was fun to watch...I never knew that the Platters did "Unchained Melodies" I always thought that The Rightious Bros. were the original singers. Do you know who did "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" I Remember that the lead singer was a young boy,And I believe that he died at a very early age.

Anybody remember this one? Mommy, Mommy, Mommy don't forget the Super Coola and the other Super Soft Drinks they're in cap topped cans. No return and no deposit, no more empties in the closet, all the kids are Super Soft Drink fans.

FMN - Why Do Fools Fall In Love was Frankie Lyman and the Teenagers. Lyman died at 25 of a heroin OD. I think they made a movie about him not to long ago. He also had 3 wives fighting over his estate, I guess he liked to get married, but didn't bother with divorces.

Oldguy, Thank you! He did look like a little boy though. Can't blame him for not wanting to get a divorce. They can get pretty ugly. LOL....I did not know that he died from an overdose. All these years I thought that he'd either been sick or in an accident. I am glad you let me know.Still like the song though!
