Don't worry Margo, I found them and they're awesome! But, I really like the fox pix from Tehachapi. That tree limb in front of him matches him/her perfectly!

The fox photo is one of my all time favorites...and I shot it through a window thinking if I went back outside he would run off.

Just got home from Easter Mass at St Anne's and they announced that it would be the last year for the Daffodil Garden, that the Baur's are retiring.
We went for a short walk, the daffodils are beautiful but they have not all come in yet. I only have last year to compare too and it does see to me that not everything is in bloom yet. The sign says that April 6th is the last day it will be open so make sure you stop by.

Is it sad for anyone who has been to the garden and drove down Fredalba. We lived on Fredalba and loved to walk with our girls to the garden. I can't imagine how it must be now, everything is gone.

The Daffodil Garden is a source of pride in Running Springs. It is both a local and a regional attraction. We should be grateful for the beauty we were provided, and it was free. Perhaps the community and chamber of commerce could provide a gesture of gratitude and offer to maintain the Garden for a few more years until perhaps, someone else is willing to carry to proverbial torch.

Went to the gardens today. It was beautiful! Just glad I got there before the bus full of teenage school children got there! The signs posted throughout the gardens say that it will close on April 6th, and only be open for 2 weeks in 2009. I agree that it would be nice for the community to offer to help maintain so that so many can enjoy!

Our local RED HAT Ladies (Daffodil at our Peak) visited the gorgious gardens on Friday. They are so beautiful. I am very sad to think, yet another Mountain Icon is closing, like Santa's Village. This garden is so famous and will be missed. I had not heard it is to be open two weeks in 2009. I hope that is true. How CAN out local communities thank this dear lady for the years of hard work making this mountain master piece? Thanks dear lady!

Absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Definitely gave me the necessary motivation to rake my backyard hillside to uncover my wild lupin and baby blue eyes.

Do you wanna go with me today, Littledee? I could go for a third visit.

Casey, when do you want to go? I have some plans for later. Do you want to leave around 9 a.m.? That would work for me.
Sent: Friday, April 4, 2008 09:00 AM
That's in 2 minutes, LittleDee. Can you give me at least 10 to get ready?
Sent: Friday, April 4, 2008 09:00 AM
How about 9:30 a.m. I was looking at a clock that never got changed...haha! Sorry. Do you want me to drive?
Sent: Friday, April 4, 2008 09:04 AM
You know what, they don't open until 10. So why don't you come by about 9:45? Yes, you can drive.

Perfect, sounds like a plan. See ya then.
