Just a friendly reminder to watch your speed. (Which we always should but...) I saw them get two people on my way up the hill, one towards the bottom and one right before live oak.

sweet!! I like the "nice people from lower elevations" who get to the 30mph zone. They go to the left and somehow thing that it's now 40-50mph zone.
Sometimes I slow to 30 which seems like a crawl, which slows them down and makes them mad.
Other times I get out of their way and wave as they're sitting there with all the pretty lights shining on the car behind them. Bwaahahhhaaaaaahaaaaaaa...

Go CHP! Wish there were more of them up here. Drive like a jerk and they will eventually bust your arse. There are far too many idiotic drivers on the mountain and the locals represent a large percentage of them. Sorry, but it's an unfortunate reality. Slow down and chill out!

I'd rather have a Mormon at my door than a magazine salesmen.

I think I'll pass on both, thank you.

There were two at Old Waterman Canyon road facing down also...Looks like they have both highways covered...

Yes watch your speed, current maximum speed on highway 330 is 55mph it drops to 30 thru beautiful Running springs then picks back up to 40 mph past soutar all the way to Big Bear.
I love seeing all these self admissions of locals who intentionally do brake checks on people and refuse to use turnouts and let people pass. I hope someone from the highway patrol sees these posts and starts nailing people for impeding the speed limit and failing to use turnouts when they are causing a traffic flow Problem.
it goes both ways with the law.

According to you it only goes one way. Yours. To keep you happy, one must treat the speed limit as both a maximum and a minimum.

Great!Usually some jerk is going 50 on the 330 and flashing and passing and u always think "where are the CHP when you need them?" So glad they are catching them and ticketing. Horraaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!

Thank god they are only doing 50 mph, they are safe since the speed limit is 55.

NO Aaron it doesnt, but if you want to impede the speed limit then SLOWER TRAFFIC USE TURNOUTS!, Everyone has a different skill level, if yours is slower, then just use one of the conveintly place turnouts with signs posted.
Take a mountain driving course and learn how to properly use your gears whether automatic or manual transmission so you dont burn up your brakes and catch my home on fire.

LTR: Do you practice tailgating on your video game?
I saw 3 CHPs yesterday on my way back from BB. One CHP was ticketing a Mustang on Arctic Circle. That Mustang was the lucky one as the Mustang that flipped at the bottom of 330 last week wasn’t so lucky.

No one likes to get a ticket but it is truly their lucky day when an officer takes the time to discipline them and hopefully changes a behavior that endangers everyone on the road.
