One of my clients has given me a spinet piano and I have no place to put it. I have tried to figure out many ways to keep it, but just don't have the room in my tiny house. So, if anybody would like it it is totally free, Id hate to see it go anywhere unappreciated.
A few facts: it measures 55"L X 24"W X 36"H and probably weighs about 300#. (I can lift one end by myself; it does have wheels) It is a Wurlitzer of 1950's vintage. It is in nice shape and sounds great, better than the baby grand that she replaced it with! A above middle C is out of tune a bit and there a couple of keys that don't return real easy. Nothing drastic. Call me if you are interested cell (909) 991-9974 or (909)336-2715.

Bump! C'mon! Still available. Home owner told me if nobody wants the piano the piano tuner person does. He said it had great tone. It has a really bright sound.

A really great place to find good homes for cool things is freecycle.org. You offer it free; they have to come and get it. Here's the link for the Lake Arrowhead group:

Good suggestion RSgal, I was trying to see if the local muscians wanted it. It isn't really my responsibility to get rid of it anyway. It's nice that's all and I do have a guy coming this evening.

piano was slightly damaged in transit, and now has a frozen key, I don't have the skills, nor the $$$ to fix it myself so if anybody wants a free slightly damaged piano, you can pick it up at my house; I'll be letting Burrtec know to come pick it up for the dump in the next week, so if you want it act quick. Bob, do you think that piano tuner would still want it?

How damaged is it. Is it just a stuck key, or is there more? I may be interested.

Yes, it fell off the edge of the tailgate of the truck and landed on the underside of the keyboard. It seems to me that it should have only bent the bracket that holds the keyboard to the body and if you straightened out the bracket it would be fine.

The piano was dropped on the tailgate when trying to get it into the truck to move, it also fell over in the truck and dented the wheel well while being moved despite being very well secured. This "free" piano caused several hundred dollars in damage to my friend's truck, and as far as I am concerned it is cursed and I want no part of it. The problem is just a very stuck key as far as I can determine (I'm no piano repairman, there may be other problems I don't know about), it is also signifcantly out of tune, but that is a fairly easy thing to address. I looked all over the piano to see if there was a quick fix to the stuck key and I could not determine that there was, so as far as I can tell this will require a piano repairman who will probably charge at least $100 to fix it, not to mention the cost of tuning it, unless you intend to try yourself, which is really not that hard as long as you have a electronic tuner and a lot of patience. As I mentioned I just don't have the time, money, or skills to fix this piano so I need to get rid of it asap. It is currently an eyesore sitting in my driveway, and rain is predicted over the weekend so Bo_Bindy if you are interested please act quickly. It is a decent enough piano, but by no means is it in mint condition, nor was it ever a high end model to begin with, I have seen this model sell on Ebay for $200-1000, but it is definitely not in good enough condition to warrant $1000. It has a decent enough tone, and it is free. I think it will work with minor repairs, so if someone is seriously interested I will do what I can to protect it from the rain, but if I do not have an interested party by Friday, I will be having this picked up for the dump. If someone intends to pick it up keep in mind that this piano weighs close to 400 pounds so bring enough people to lift and secure it properly, that was my mistake. Sorry Bob. My email is knandermueller@aol.com for any interested parties.

Steve Lawless was the piano tuner who was interested in the piano, you could call him up. Sending it to the dump is a sad ending to a decent intrument.

can you email me Steve's number at knandermueller@aol.com? I don't want to send it to the dump, but it's broken and I don't have the resources or wherewithal to fix it. You had a pretty hard time getting rid of it when it was not broken, I have no interest in storing a busted piano. If you want it back, it's all yours.

Actually, NO, you just happened to be the next on the list in the order of people who called. I think you could have used more reasonable care and more assistance in moving the piano. Steve's number is listed under the thread titled need a piano tuner. No I don't want it back; I have no room for a working piano much less a broken one.
