Hello,

I just found out what happen to Cedu School this weekend and it made me sick!! I went to school there from 82 to 85 and I was tought a lot of important thing I use every day. I wish I know about this early becuase I might have been able to help the staff buy the school. On Monday I am going to look into buying the school from the new owners, I am a mortgage broker and have a lot of friend that are inveters. I do not really think I have a change in hell in buying the school but I have to try something. If any one has an idea then please let me know. After readding the information it seems to me that after Brown School took over Cedu it went down hill and there was a lot of problem with the kids and staff. I am not saying that all the staff was not good but it seem to me that some of the staff was there for the money not the kids. If you are going to work in a place like Cedu then you have to be there for the kids and have to have a open mind also not care about money. The reasen I saying some of the things is that I read that some of the staff had lawsuits file on them and the school got suited over other thing too. I have to say that the last time I was up at Cedu was in the Summer of 1994. I had the privilege to meet Mel Wasserman, and he was a very into what kids needed and what could help them in life. I think if he was still alive he would be very sick and sadden of what happen to his dreams and to his hard work. I will be writing more but have to get back to work. I hope the staff and the kids who went too Cedu will read this and write me.

Take care all

Chris Smith

If the previous post was for real, I believe we're all in serious trouble regarding education at CEDUUUU.
Yea, I love the kids --- but love is not all you need - somehow ya gotta buy da food, heat da house, pay da bills...etc.

Sorry, I worked at Cedu in 1984, in fact it is the reason I am on this mountain. There were SERIOUS problems going on back then when it was run by the Wassermans. Anyone remember all the staff who took most of the students with them and opened up their own school? What about the rap sessions and profeets, the so called "therapy" based on Synonon principles?

I wish Mel Wasserman had stuck with selling furniture.

Just a thought..............

I agree...Wasserman only cared about $$$$$$$ and himself. He cared very little about the kids or the employees...just how well he could use them.

Really, it was an amazing scam.

It does please me that the former campus has become such an amazing camp for kids. I guess any children of any religion are welcome there.

Wonder if they'd take a 46 year woman......me!
