I never heard that part of the story before Patti.
I'm glad they have him secured.

Oyler's trial date keeps getting moved. I believe the newest trial date is 6/6/08.

I don't think any arsonist can hold out forever...pretty soon they have to tell someone. That is half of why they do it, so that they can brag to someone about how much they changed, or the dollar amount of damages. I hope he goes down quick. I hope some friggin' idiot group like the ACLU doesn't pick this guy up and try to protect him. It wouldn't even surprise me these days.

The suspect is probably “secure” at Gitmo. Isn’t arson terrorism? There ain’t no Habeas corpus anymore.
Sent: Friday, May 16, 2008 10:15 AM
Gitmo is to good for him.

I hope he has many chances to be passed around to all of bubba friends for packs of smokes.

Yeah, and perhaps they can get him to confess through torture.

Chaucer - I hear waterboarding is very effective.

Can ROTW place the picture of Oyler side by side with the composite drawing of the Old Fire suspect? You can easily see a lot of similarities when they are side by side.

Vicki - Thanks!!!

I'm not an expert, but I think the two are the same.

Why call this guy a suspect at all. He is guilty until proven innocent isn’t he? What if the secret information that the authorities claim to have about the “secure” arsonist is incorrect? What if the real arsonist or an accomplice is still out there? Don’t mentally disturbed arsonists work alone? Wasn’t this guy reported to have been the driver and worked with another person to commit arson? Sounds like conspiracy to commit arson. The facts are that none of us really know anything because it is all being kept secret from the public.

Chaucer - Give the government a chance to prove its case. We are not living under some sort of dictatorship with hidden kangaroo courts with rubber stamps. If the person being "secured" turns out to be innocent, he will be freed.

That’s right Gemini is was you that said “give me a benevolent dictator anytime”.

Chaucer - When I posted, I knew you were going to run off with the dictator thing.

What do we know about him? He looks scary and mean.

It's a mug shot Mitty. Did you expect him to smile?

KB - Did you see Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's mug shots? They were smiling.
