We desperately need "D" plates for the drunk drivers! One conviction for DUI and you must display a "D" on your plate or rear window apart from other penalties for a certain period of time when driving, this would give law enforcement the right to stop you anytime and check for DUI. We also need "P" plates for teens-probationary licences only for the first 2 years, cops can stop these vehicles with no reason needed.

Or how about if we all get a microchip implanted so they've got our whole life history and family's history. Or we could all get forehead tattoos telling every mistake we've ever made. That's a good idea. No wait, let's put it on our car license plates.
Nah, I see way too many personalized license plates around here as it is. Sheesh

Drunk drivers are not "just making mistakes in life"- they are killing people, penalties and roadblocks alone cannot stop them-they don't care, they need to be easily identified and watched, "D" plates would save many lives taken by these idiots! "P" plates for teens is long overdue, its working well in other countries. I was a victim of "P" plates in Australia-lost my licence for 6 months for not having my turn signal on-learned my lesson, not many dates on my motor scooter!
