Sorry, but I don't have a need to advertise. So what reason would I have to join this ROTW.net club? I can get scanner for free at SoCalmountains.com. Just wondering.

Harvey,
Thanks, that a valid question. The Club is still a new feature. It was started originally at the request of our users who wanted a way to support the site. As we add new features to the website, they will be available first to Club Members and, in some cases, only to Club Members.
Club Members currently have access to discounted classified ads. There is also the automated Alerts feature where Members can receive email and text alerts sent to their email and/or cell phone. See
http://www.rimoftheworld.net/columns/rotw/new_emailWe have now added the scanner feeds.
One difference of the ROTW scanner feeds is that we will maintain more feeds than we have Club Members. This will ensure that Club Members will have access to the scanner during disasters. The demand for the scanner feeds can quickly out pace the available feeds.
The online scanner feeds are very expensive to set up and run. If you feel this is a valuable service to you and the community, Club Membership is a way for you to help ensure that we remain in business and able to provide that service along with RIMOFTHEWORLD.net’s other benefits.

Dave,
I appreciate the opportunity to contribute for such a worthy service that ROTW provides, and I hope to continue when my current membership runs out. One question though, I have never figured out where to enter my key number too activate my club membership; I tried the links provided in the confirmation email without success. I only have a couple weeks of my membership left, so I thought I would finally ask.
I ask this question in a public forum in case somebody else has the same issue.
Could it be that my Paypal email is different from my ROTW sign in email?
Thanks for the services you guys provide.

ROTW does it again! Great service folks. Don't suppose there is any to add individual MANUAL butons to the feed so if we hear something we want to stay with, we can? Could such a thing be added to each individual ALERT call?
Keep up the great work.

6000,
I'll look into it and send you an email. When the club was first set up, some members joined with a different email then what was used in the ROTW account. We sent reply emails to them and some we never received the information needed. If you need to join with a different email address, be sure to let us know so that we can get you set up.
