Here is a great way to give to your local high school and community during the school year at LUNCH TIME.

Please read Assistant Principal David Nygren's letter below. He is addressing RHS parents, but I am sure he'd be happy to hear from other family or community members able to give their time on a regular basis to the PARS program.

All must be willing to pay for their own background checks which will be reimbursed after a year of service. Those within the Rim School System who have already been cleared, like substitute teachers, may also inquire about joining the PARS team.

" __ I would like to ask your help in finding volunteers for our PARS program (Parents Assisting Rim Staff). We need parents who are available during the hours of 11:15 AM until 1:00 PM Monday through Friday to help assist the Assistant Principals and security with lunch supervision.

They will be given I.D. cards and a walkie-talkie and positioned in areas where students are likely to leave campus, and they will call for assistance as needed. The volunteers will have to pay for a background check (approx. $75), and they will be reimbursed if they successfully complete their service through the end of the school year.
