In this weeks Mountain News is a legal adv notifying us that the Board of Supervisor will officially set the water rates for our water within County Service Area 70 CG April 15th at the normal Board meeting that starts at 10:00.

It also states that a copy of the proposed charges and fees is on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. So the question now is what are these rates? How do they compare with the various rates we have been paying? Next week I plan to check this out!

I head through the grapevine that escrow was supposed to close at the end of March. Of course, we've heard that how many times? I also heard that the loan was on the way to being forgiven. There again, no real word on what if anything actually happened.

I just got a reply from Tom Sutton.
He states "They are the current fees under the Operations Agreement with the Receiver that will be void after the Escrow closes and the Board of Supervisors are adopting them so we can continue to bill. The Increased Rates that we have discussed with the community will be presented to the BOS with the proposed budget for 08/09 in June. We will be setting a community meeting to go over the proposed bodget and rates prior to the June BOS meeting."
