Punto83....yes, our mobile home community has yard sales over Memorial Day weekend (all 3 days) and again Labor Day weekend (all 3 days)........usually about 15 to 20 yard sales are set up throughout the park on those weekends.....I open the gates in the mornings and close the gates in the afternoon when traffic slows down......come on by !

Just a note, I'm not sure how many have been reading the thread having to do with the declared, "Day Of Silence" scheduled for tomorrow, 25 April, at Rim High School. This DOS is for the purpose of obtaining recognition and tolerance for the "GAY" community. In my personal opinion, this behavior has no place in our school system.

I suggest to those who have children that attend Rim High, protest this event by keeping your kids home tomorrow as we have elected to do. On the following day of school, Monday, 28 April, send a absence note to the school citing the reason for your kids not attending Friday, "No place for gay recognition in school."

This action will cost the school district money out of pocket and will possibly prevent any future events such as this.

Unless of course you agree that the homosexual lifestyle needs to be promoted in school. Then, by all means participate...

I think it's an excellent opportunity to raise consciousness about homosexuals and what they have to endure from others who haven't a clue what they must endure from small minded people who get into everyone else's business. Let your kids go to school and participate in this day of recognition of those who are persecuted and judged.

I wonder, what are your beliefs on Beastiality??
This too is a sexual preference by some humans.
Shall we be tolerant of this lifestyle as well?

This event does not belong in school.
That is all I was trying to communicate...

Whpr,

We have had good discussions in other forums,

On this topic, you are grabbing for straws...

What relationship is there between DOS and bestiality?

I am VERY confused at the moment what the issue is

The connection Bruce has nothing to do with beaties. It has to do with bringing to light any form of sexuality in the school environment.

People are people, they have the right to worship as they believe, has sex with whomever they wish, own guns, do drugs, as long as they do not get caught. The point here is, my kids go to school to gain an education, not become orientated, left or right.

This entire debate has been troublesome to many. Believe me when I say, there are many who believe the way I do on this subject. I'm not sure why they have not bothered to take some of the heat by stating their positions. Not to worry, I have not thin skin...

In closing and in an effort to put it to bed, I do not wish any harm to any individual, anywhere for any reason. I love people no matter what their views. But, I felt it necessary to voice opposition of this project and I have...

Have a great day, everyone...

Well, I so disagree with you! The reason it is in the school setting is because that is where a lot of the bullying starts regarding such issues as homosexuality. A lot of children are not sure how to treat others because at home they are getting one point of view, and they need to be aware of other viewpoints as well. That is why we call it socialization and this is one of the benefits of not being home schooled. It is called learning to be tolerant and respectful of others

...good morning VOEMHC residents !

....by the way, due to the trash bill increase we should now be aware of non residents coming into the park dumping their trash into the bins YOU pay for....and so because of that, I am instituting a $25.00 cash reward to any resident who while seeing a non resident dumping trash in your trash bins calls the office immediately. In the meantime it may be prudent to call the office or my home number if after hours if you see ANY PICK-UP TRUCK dumping trash....call me and I will go and determine who it is.....if they are caught in the act we can perform a third party citation and they will be paying the hefty fine amount for illegal dumping that is posted on the front of each dumpster.....lets catch these idiots.
