Hey you guys, you know the state of the economy right now. We are all digging up change to fill up our tanks! We don't need another rate hike from Crestline Sanitation! I urge all Crestline residents to oppose the rate hike.

We need, in Crestline, 2266 letters to be sent/delivered to the sanitation office by mid-June so they don't raise the rates. In 2005/06 the rates were increased by 9% and last year they were raised by 9%. Last year, the rate was $33.88 and will jump to $36.93. Below is a protest letter. Fill it out and forward it to Crestline Sanitation--forward to everyone you know in Crestline and print out and give to your friends. With the state of the economy, I don't want to be paying more for sanitation!! - JoAnn Mazochia-Farley

Copy and paste the below letter and hand-deliver or mail to Crestline Sanitation.

RE: PROTEST AGAINST RATE HIKE

To Whom It May Concern:

I completely oppose the current rate hike proposal. I understand the need for operating and maintenance, but there was an 8% rate hike one year ago.

The property I own is at _.

I urge you not to raise the current rates.

Sincerely,

_
Crestline Homeowner

Ok, the previous poster states you just had an 8% increase a year ago. Didn't she also refer to the gas hikes we are all experiencing, including businesses and utilities? What percentage has gas gone up since last year? Utilities have to charge enough to cover expenses. Pleading with them to ignore this reality is pointless. They do not raise rates because you need an increase. They do it because they need an increase.

Isn't this obvious?

Hi Roncpp,

It is obvious.

I am the previous poster and I think it's ridiculous in this economy when everything goes up from food, gas, rate-hike proposals the middle class, myself, gets hit the hardest. Of course I understand that rates increase, but they increased them last year. I don't see our wages going up anytime soon. I don't see our home values going up...everything goes up but the middle-classes wages. If you're happy with the rate increase, don't sign and turn in the letter, obviously you can afford the extra money they want. I on the otherhand do not want to pay more when they increased the rates steadily for the past 7 years.

Thank you for your comments.
