Good evening all..

I just received my community picnic notice for Arrowbear... and I was wondering.. What does everyone in the mountains do for the fireworks display? I mean.. with fire danger.. it cant be easy to do.. so I was wondering what happens up in the mountain communities when it comes to this. With the 4th being a Friday this year.. I thought about bringing my family up for the long holiday weekend ... but they do love the displays in local parks..

Any help and suggestion would be welcome...

Lake Gregory has not had fireworks for a couple of years now. Lake Arrowhead still has them, but you have to get there 3 hours or MORE early to find any parking and a view or vantage point. Big Bear may be your best bet. The I.E. 66er's put on a whale of a good show down at their ballpark. Then, again, some fool will inevitaby set a few small ones off up here, which will have the fire departments and sheriff's scrambling fast.

The local racetracks have fireworks shows after a night of great racing action. Some of these tracks need alittle support just like all the other local businesses. If the Orange Show is too small Irwindale has a little larger and faster track. Auto racing is just as American as ball and stick sports. So go out this Friday and support your local race tracks. The racers work hard to support their effort and deserve a good crowd.
