I believe in Pat Meagher for Congress because,

Pat Meagher a local Forest Falls resident is running for Congress in the
41st Congressional District. He is the proud father of 9 children, 2 currently serving our country in the military.

Pat Meagher stands for Peace, and supports our troops for a job well done. However the job is done, and we need to bring our troops home. He also supports a Department of Peace.

Pat Meagher stands for Education. As the current principal of Fontana Adult School, and 23 (?) years as a teacher, Pat is passionate about education. Education is the key to better jobs, safer neighborhoods and a better tomorrow.

Pat Meagher stands for Health Care Reform. He supports House resolution 676. This bill would give all Americans the right to Healthcare. It would lower the cost of prescription medicine and would effectively save the American public 367,000,000.00 by reducing costly administrative fees.

Pat Meagher stands for Immigration Reform. He believes in securing the borders. Pat supports bills created to identify and include the immigrants already in our borders. They should be made citizens and pay taxes.

Pat Meagher stands for legislation to improve our faltering economy. If we don’t have it, we don’t spend it. If we end the occupation of Iraq, this will effectively save American dollars. If Health care reform is successful, this will save American dollars. Pat would rehabilitate our economy by promoting Fair trade not Free Trade, and would vote for legislation to provide Americans with American jobs.

Pat Meagher stands for the American Middle Class. He supports legislation to assess a windfall profits tax on the oil companies. Roll back the tax breaks given to the wealthy. Close the tax loopholes for large corporations. Supports the American dream of small business. Supports the small business owners.

Pat Meagher stands for Alternative and Renewable Energy. We need to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil by encouraging major investments and incentives in alternative and renewable fuels.
