I am referring to this thread
http://rimoftheworld.net/discuss/252/45342Do you know a Senior or anyone else that needs assistance with food? There is no qualifications, restrictions or applications. You may purchase as much of this food as you would like. All you have to do is fill out an order form and supply payment in the form of a money order. Food is distributed once a month.
Orders are taken at the beginning of the month and the food is distributed at the end of the month. This is an amazing program.
I would love to help anyone interested in coordinating this effort in Big Bear. If someone would be willing to pick up the food in Running Springs on Distribution Day then we could make this work for Big Bear.
Anyone interested please email us at angelspantry@gmail.com

Just spoke with Kittygirl. She is coming up to Big Bear today and will drop off order forms at the Senior Center and Senior Citizens Thrift Store. We also talked about two mobile home parks here for seniors and will contact them.

boomergal - are you and Kittygirl able to take the order forms to the church by the due date and also pick up the food there on distribution day? we want to help the Big Bear community, but we can't distribute in Crestline and BB - there's only 4 of us.

Order forms and payment need to get to Running Springs by the due date, or down to Redlands? Food pick-up would be from Running Springs, right?
My schedule is all over the place, so I thought I could help distribute order forms and get them picked up, handle money orders in Big Bear Valley and get them to Kittygirl by the monthly deadline. If any pick-ups or drop offs are in R.S., I can sometimes do those too. Does this help?

The food would also need to be picked up from Redlands. Depending on the amount of orders you receive you might need to drive one or two trucks down there to bring the food back up. Any questions please contact one of the ladies from Angel's Pantry.

Due date for orders in Running Springs is tomorrow, January 6th, by 2 pm. SkinCare and I will be taking all the orders we recieve to the church in Redlands on Friday.
We do our distribution in Crestline - if there are a lot of orders from Big Bear, we'll need help to pick them up in Redlands on the 24th - we only have 4 vehicles for pick up.

i just saw this thread! I went to the big bear senior citizens center today and explained the program to the secretary and left the literature with her she said she would check in to it. It is too late for the Jan orders for Big Bear according to the Angels Pantry but for Feb. I will print up the menus and order forms and drive them up there and deliver to the senior center and other - probably the thrift store - this way it will give them a couple of weeks to distribute the info around and then have some orders apparantly there were no orders. if there is an order or two I can come up to wherever on Thursday probably in the pm around 2 or so and pick them up and bring them to running springs. I also would go dth and pick up in redlands - usually the last saturday of the month - or next to the last. I am available on Monday and Saturdays to do whatever.

the woman at the Angels pantry Karen Roper stated that it was too late for january but she would be willing to work with anyone who could coordinate it. Possibly a church in Big Bear? Im not too familiar with the big churchs there but maybe some of you are. I am willing to help in any way.
