The Big Bear Horror Film Festival will host a fun filled celebrity Saturday night banquet (October 17th, 2009) as a fundraiser for the Crestline Creative Arts Foundation (CCAF) at the historical Nottingham’s Restaurant (in the Sherwood Room upstairs) located at 40797 Lakeview Drive, Big Bear Lake CA 92315.
Crestline Creative Arts Foundation is the Official Charity of the 2009 Big Bear Horror Film Festival. (bigbearhorrorfilmfest.com/about/ccaf). CCAF Founders, Reggie Bannister and Gigi “Fast Elk” Bannister work with mountain young people who attend Free Film Camps where they are provided training from industry mentors (Directors, Writers, Cinematographers, etc) who allow them to work hands-on with professional film projects. Many CCAF interns have gone on to train and work in the film and entertainment industries.
CCAF Benefit Raffle during the banquet include items from Phantasm I, II, III and IV (limited signed copies of Phantasm II newly released DVDs), collectible posters from the films, photos, music CDs etc), signed by the cast and crew; limited edition collectible “Leatherface” mask from “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” (2006) complete with tin plate and poster signed by Andrew Bryniarski; signed items from films Revamped(2007), 2001 Maniacs (2005), Night of the Living Dead (1968), Song of the Dead (2005) and many other exciting items for raffle opportunities. Entertainment includes: Special screening of CCAF short film Charlie: The Creature of Lake Gregory (8 mins); raffles; masquerade contest and more.
The Big Bear Horror Film Festival is slated for October 16-18, 2009 at the Performing Arts Center 39707 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear, CA 92315. The event will mark the 30th Anniversary Reunion of the legendary psycho-thriller, Phantasm, and attending guests include Don Coscarelli (producer/writer/director,), Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man), Reggie Bannister (Reggie), Gigi Fast Elk (Special Effects Artist/Actor), FANGORIA Magazine founder, Kerry O'Quinn, director, Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary I, II) Producer, Elizabeth Stanley (Dark Path Chronicles), Tim Sullivan (2001 Maniacs), and his cast members: Christa Campbell and Ryan Flemming; Jeff Rector (Revamped), Richard Moll (Nightcourt, Scary Movie 2), Bruno Miotto, Sean Abbley, Jeffrey Riddick (Final Destination), and Eric Forsberg (Night of the Dead).
Banquet tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased online at bigbearhorrorfilmfest.com or emailing Gigi Bannister at productionmagic@msn.com or by calling 909-338-3602. RSVP is requested by September 30th, 2009. Access includes dinner, raffle, entertainment and masquerade for the night. Seating is very limited! First come, first served. Folks are getting excited about coming up to Big Bear - both flatlanders as well as mountain communities. It's really going to be a great weekend with the VIP reception, films, the screenings, workshops, banquet, masquerade and awards!
